Speaking of the characteristics architecture of Qingdao, the first thought is the Colorado
,and this graduation design attempts to renovate and reuse unused space within the mall by the famous scenic spot - Villa of Qingdao. Using the innovations in interior design
of local priceless architecture cultural resources of Qingdao, and combinating cultural background of the architecture of the garden ,the characteristics of history, and modern features of indoor environment , art and design. The design is located in six-way corner in the Taiping Villa Colorado II, the original site of the Danish Consulate, which has beautiful environment and convenient transportation.
Through the collections of datas and investigations, I will transform it a simple style restaurant . Overall, the whole restaurant with soft orange lighting and relaxing beige as the keynote, by soft light, not only limites space, but also gets warm feelings. Supplemented with plain decoration, the restaurant looks warm and comfortable, so that impetuous mood of diners will relax. Store set is not only elegant yet nature. When talking about the characteristics of Qingdao constructions, Badaguan (Eight Great Passes) is always firstly mentioned. The graduation project proposes an attempt to remodel and re-utilize the idle villa space in Eight Great Passes, the famous place of interests of Qingdao. With the invaluable Qingdao construction resources, we managed to combine the cultural background of constructions, history features, interior environment, modern function and artistic design together through creative performance of interior design. The design program locates at #2, 6th Road Taipingjiao, Badaguan Villa District, the former site of Denmark consulate, with excellent ambience and traffic conditions.
After information collection and investigation, we are to remodel the villa to be a western restaurant of simple style. Overall, the gentle orange light and beige color constitute the main style, the gentle light makes up separate space and intimate feelings, the auxiliary plain color decorations express warmness and comfort to customers, enable them to relax and get rid of harassment. The elegant, natural interior design and comfortable, relaxed surroundings not only free customers' hearts, but also to a certain extent inspire them of new ideas.
