A: I agree with this statement. Sometimes it is better nor to tell the truth.
It is really reasonable .
B: I donnot agree,
A; Why?
B: Lies always destroy the belief between people.
As the old saying goes , " Bad truth is better than a beautiful lie.
A: But smetimes it is better not to tell the truth.
You should know one thing : there`s grey between the white and black .
B: Like you says, It`s the color ,but not the truth.
We are all educated to be a honest man from we were a little child.
Honesty is the most pure thing in the world, isn`t it?
A: Well, I can`t deny what you said .
But there`s one thing you can`t deny , either.
Sometimes it`s cruel to tell the truth.

A: Er.......For example,
If there`s a little girl , who has a very serious disease, wil you tell her the truth?

B: Well, I don't think so. I think it is very important to be honest, all the time. Why do you think so?
A:Oh, as I had a bad experience last week. When I told my brother that I didn't want to lend my laptop to him during this summer holiday, he got very mad at me, and said he would not see me as his friend anymore.
B:Oh, I see. Maybe you should explain to him why you did not want to share your private thing with somebody else, then he could understand you. In that way, even you tell him the truth, but the result will be also quite good.

A: I don't really agree. I remember once my aunt invited my parents to visit her new apartment.My mother did not want to go as my aunt always prevent that she was happier than the others. So my mother answered my aunt that she'd really want to go, but she had some problems with her feet. After that conversation via phone, my mother told me that sometimes it is better to say something else instead of telling people the truth, if the truth is not easy to be accepted.
B: Well, at one hand, you protected the people's feeling by doing that. But at the other hand, you helped her/him going the wrong way farther and farther. I think to be a upright and honest man, we should help people to improve themselves if we find that something is not good for them.
A: Wow, you are so great! How come have you so many great ideas?
B: As I read some speeches of great persons, such as presential Oath of several US presidents. I learned from them that there are some very important qualities of being a great person, even inside only, these are: honest, upright, brave, with unyielding hope..
A: Really? Then I should read them too!

A: Hey! Are you OK, Patrick? you don't look well.
B: I've been thinking about if I should tell Lilian that the dishes she cooks are terrible.
A: Oh! Why? You shouldn't tell her. Because that will hurt her.
B: Well. She has been cooking lunch for me after I had the cake that she made. And the worst thing is that I said she was a great baker. Then, she just can't stop cooking for me.
A: Then did you eat all the food she made?
B: Of course not! I ate some when she was beside me. I threw them in the garbage can after she left. I want her to stop doing this for me. But I can't make up my mind. What do you think I should do?
A: Well. Then, you should tell her the truth. Otherwise, you're going to be killed by her food eventually.
