Nowadays, an increasing number of citizens attach great importance to one's appearance when they choose their lifelong companion. In my viewpoint, I think one's character is separable from his or her physical form. And I believe the character matters much more in marriage.
Good character can absolutely lessen the risk of family conflicts and arguments, and even further, make the family united. The couple need to comprehend each other's attitude to face the problems and hurdles in the future. Secondly, good character is beneficial for enhancing the sense of happiness. The husband should sense his wife's feelings and the wife is required to consider for her husband. Last but not least, kind and favorable character is able to make the couple improve themselves even further. They can encourage and assist each other until the last minute of their lives.

All in all, I think the both sides in marriage will benefit a lot from kind character, rather than the appearance.
