Declan Galbraith是居住在英国肯特郡的爱尔兰男孩。
震撼心灵的音乐总是给人很多的感触，在declan的歌声中我更多地体会到了这个世界的不公平还有孩子们的苦难。音乐给人的启迪就应该是让人们更多地去关心自己周围的人和事物，包括这个世界你触及不到的一些地方，因为人们的关心总会产生一种无形而又强大的力量，这力量积攒到一定的程度一定会让我们的世界产生巨大的变化。
这首反战的歌，从一个儿童的视角呼唤这个世界需要我们的关注，我们的爱，高亢而富有穿透力的嗓音，不得不让我们深思，只能用天使的歌声来形容他了，能打动任何人心灵的穿透力和如此单纯的童音竟然能在这个孩子身上达到这样的和谐统一，确实相当难得。

战争，几千年来总是不断为人类所重演，从声势浩大的第一、二次世界大战到去年夏日时的黎以战争，每一次的炮火纷飞下掩也掩不住的，是那些无辜的平民非此百姓的鲜血。我想知道，利欲熏心的人们是否从中汲取教训？罪孽深重的我们，有何颜面去正视孩童们纯真无邪的眼？又或者，当他们亲手将昔日的幸福家园变成地狱的时候，有没有想过，这一幕撕碎了全世界多少善良人的心！
都说孩子是祖国的未来，可是一旦战争的号角响起，谁会在枪林弹雨中呵护一个孩子？是的，他们稚嫩的心灵的确无法理解这战争的残酷性，但是听！听！你听到他们那哭泣的质问声“……告诉我，为什么…….”了吗？那是让我们眼睛无比疼痛的心声！
的确，作为“正义”的一方来说，有些东西不靠战斗就保护不了，但你又凭什么，凭什么为了自己的幸福而毁灭他人的幸福？杀人，所以被杀；挑衅，所以被报复。这样所谓的“公平与正义”，安全部还要延伸到多远的未来？“血债血还”，是公平吗？那么天空上那些吟唱着哀歌的亡灵们，他们的血该向谁讨还？这笔债怎么算？

　　《tell me why》这首歌曲是Declan Galbraith(英国)于2002年12月9日发表的，当时正是Declan11岁生日的前10天，这也是他的第一首歌。
　　也正是在这一天，英国和爱尔兰的所有党派和Declan同时唱响了这首歌，并获得世界吉尼斯记录，历史上最大的唱诗班。这个活动是由“young voices in concert”举办的，所有筹款捐赠给了Sargent Cancer Care的孩子们。
　　这首歌想表达的就是对世人们种种作为的困惑，包括人与自然，人与人之间冷漠的关系。歌曲前奏仔细听你会发现是夹杂有鸟鸣.潮水的声音，营造的就是一种自然的气氛，然而人们却对这样的环境作了什么？高潮部分的高亢旋律，是一个孩童对世人的责问。一步一步地tell me why并不是要寻获答案，而是唤醒沉睡的世人。
　　歌声娓娓道来又澎湃激昂，直上云宵的高音部，饱满干净清幽空灵自然纯美。是忧郁和愤怒在呐喊与呼唤的tell me why，十岁男孩以歌声诘问人类战争、贫穷、饥饿，祈求人类和平、友爱、富足。触人心弦！
