On her tenth birthday party. Alice invited me and a few school friends. She was very happy and excited that day.
We brought many presents for Alice. There were story books, boxes of chocolates, pretty handkerchiefs, cute-looking dolls, jig-saw puzzles and game sets. While we sang the birthday song to her, Alice cut the cake. Her father was kept busy taking snapshots of us.
