有人认为大学英语应改为选修课，有人认为大学英语不应改为选休课，我的看法。

Recently whether English classes should be made selective has aroused a heated discussion.And opinions are divided on this topic.
Those individuals who approve of this change insist that since most Chinese students have had basic English education for more than ten years,it is unnecessary to further it in university unless someone wants professional skills in this frontier.On the contrary,the time they save from English study,if made full use of,will add to the achievements in their major.
Meanwhile,the remainder who are opposite to the change also hold reasonable viewpoints.What they believe is that one without high English standard will hardly survive in the future because the 21th century is well-known as an English century.
As far as I'm concerned,such change should be taken place because university is no longer compulsory education so students should have the freedom to choose their courses.After all, without real interest, compulsive English classes will never lead to any real effect.
