would prefer 宁愿，更愿意要……，后接名词或代词，如：
1.What colour would you prefer your nail polishing?
您喜欢什么颜色的指甲油？
2.Which flavor would you prefer, strawberry or vanilla?
您喜欢哪一种口味的，草莓味还是香草味？

would rather 宁愿做某事，后接省to的不定式，即动词原形，如果有比较，就用than，即：would rather do ... than do...，如：
I'd rather stay here.
I'd rahter not say.
I'd rather die than go with you.
would rather 如果接句子，属于虚拟语气，从句一般用一般过去式，如：
I would rather you didn't go there alone. 我宁愿你别自己去那儿。

prefer ... to ...： 两者比较更愿意要前者，后接名词或代词，如：
I prefer coffee to tea. 和茶相比，我更愿意喝咖啡。
