过去时代表当时的感受，如果形容一直以来的感受，还是用普通时态。

Today is a wonderful day, because this is my first day of seventh grade of school. And I have made a new friend who's name is Li Ming. He is medium build shape with very short hair, and he likes basketball. I think he is very popular.
