It was my best friend Ann's birthday. She invited me to her birthday party. I didn't want to go because I had no money to buy her a gift. However, I didn't know how to explain to Ann in a proper way. I felt very worried, and then I asked my cousin for advice. She told me, "Jane, you and Ann are best friends. It's important for her to have you at her birthday party. If you can't buy her a gift, you can make one for her." I thought she was right. Then I made a beautiful birthday card. When I gave Ann the card, she thought it was lovely and felt happy.
