There came into my yard today,

A red balloon so bright and gay

I watched it as it skimmed the trees,

Waving and dancing in the breeze.

It came so close I caught the string.

I laughed to catch such a thing.

But even as I held it tight,

It dragged with all its might(力气).

I sighed and let the string hang free,

It spun and flew away from me.

I whispered while I watched it fly,

“You must be free--- go touch the sky.”
