《My summer holiday》
Last summer holiday I went to East China first. I visited the oriental pearl TV tower of Shanghai. I also went to the China pavillion in the Expo site,which was known as the Crown of the East.Then I went to Hangzhou. I visited the West lake. I also saw many interesting things . The weather was good. I liked the food there. It was tasty.

去年暑假我首次去了华东地区旅游。我先是去了上海，参观了东方明珠塔。我还去了世博中国馆，它被人称为“东方之冠”。接着我又去了杭州。我游览了西湖。我还看到许多有趣的东东。那边的天气挺好的。我也喜欢那里的食物，很美味可口。

暑假的农村生活方面：
I went to the countryside to spend my summer holidays this year. I liked green plants, clear rivers lovely amimals there.I breathed the fresh air on the mountain sometimes I went swimming in the river. I kept a diary every day.
I liked not the scene of the countryside, also the people there. I helped them to do farm work. I also helped the children in the neighbourhood with their lessons. The children were interested in English. They were good at reading writing,did not do well in listening speaking. I helped them improve their listening speaking. Their parents thought highly of me. I realized that knowledge is greatly needed in the countryside.

The weather is just too hot this summer. When I was watching TV last Friday's night, I heard cries and shouts of 'Fire!'. I ran to the window and looked out from it. I saw that the row of shops opposite my house was on fire.

I quickly telephoned the fire-brigade and rushed out to help the fire-victims. Soon the fire-engine arrived. They tried very hard to to put out the fire. A fireman managed to rescue an old man who was trapped in one of the burning shops. Many people were gathered there to see the firemen at work. Some were helping to put out the fire while others were helping the fire victims. It took a few hours for the firemen to put out the fire.

It was a sad moment for everyone because the fire had destroyed a number of shops. Luckily no life was lost and none was injured. It was an unforgettable night for me during my summer holidays.
