During the summer holidays, my parents and I went to the countryside to have a picnic. I was very excited about it since I don't go out quite often.

After a short journey, we came to a nice waterfall. The water was very cold and refreshing. Many children were splashing and playing in the water. We swam for about an hour, then we ate the food which we brought along in the cool shade under the trees.

We saw many beautiful birds and butterflies. We also took some photographs. In the afternoon, we packed our things and went home. It was an enjoyable picnic.
