1st
Step1 Singing a song
Hell
oHello, Hello
Hello, how are you?
I am fine. I am fine.

Good morning to you

Step2 presentation
1.Present “Hello”. “Hi”. “Good morning”
2.Greet the pupils: Hello, boys and girls
Say hello to class. Wave cheerfully saying hello or hi.
3.Greet the pupils with “good morning”. Ask them to respond by echoing you.
4.Show transparency. Point to the characters. On the page and read in their speech bubbles.
5.Play the tape. The pupils listen and read after the recorder.
Step3 Practice
1.Let the pupils greet their partner.
2.Ask the pupils say hello to teacher one by one.
3.Divide the class in to two. One half of the class say hello. The others do the same.
4.Do the same with hi.
5.Show the picture. Ask a pupil to answer.
Step4 Homework
1.Read Part A after the recorder twice.
2.Practice to greet people

1. Show the pupils the writing form
A.Show them the right way.
B. Show them the wrong ways to prevent them writing in awrong ways.

2nd

Step1. Revision
1.Sing a song <<Hello>>.
2.Teacher greeting the pupils. Then let the pupils answer the teacher.
3.Play the tape. Ask the pupils read after recorder.
Step2. Presentation
1.Take out a toy to greeting. The teacher is acting the roles as Part B.
2.Write the sentence on the blackboard. “Hello, how are you?”“Fine, thank you.”Let the pupils read after the teacher. Then tell them the Chinese meanings.
3.Open the door of the classroom and pretend to leave.
As you are going out. Wave and say: Goodbye, class. Repeat until the pupils begin to respond by saying Goodbye.
4.Point to the sentence and read in their speed bubbles.5.Play the tape. Let the pupils read after the recorder.
Step3. Practice
1. The teacher says, “Hello, how are you?” to the pupils. Then the pupils answer the teacher.
2. Do the same with goodbye.
3. Ask them to tell the Chinese meaning.
4. Read after the teacher twice.
5. Prompt individual pupils with the response. If they cannot reply, teach them to reply until they can reply by their selves.
6. Do the same with goodbye.
7. Ask some pupils to practice “How are you?” “Fine, thank you.”
8.Ask some pupils to practice the dialogue.
P1: Hello, how are you?
P2: Fine, thank you.

P2: Goodbye.
9.Play the tape to practice the pronunciation.
Step4. Homework
1. Listen to the recorder and read after it twice.
2. Practice“How are you?” “Fine, thank you.” “Goodbye.” with the recorder.

1. Tell them how to pronounce.
2. Show them how to write.

Step1. Revision

Step2.Presentation
1. Show the pictures. Take out a toy. Act as Part c.
2. Show them the sentence. Tell the story to them.
3. Play the cassette. Let the pupils read after the recorder.
4. Blow up a balloon and tie a sting to it. Give the balloon to a pupil. Saying “Here’s a balloon.” Prompt them to say“ Thank you.”
Step3.Practice
Ask some pupils to come to the front to act out the story.
Step4. Do workbook page 1.
Step5.Homework
1. Listen and read the story.
2. Say the story to their friends.
