1、括号前是不定式形式的目的状语，可大体推测主句为将来时，选B。无论如何也不能选C，因为从逻辑上讲本句绝非一般现在时。
2、a territory that/which is larger (in area) than... ...
3、because须与完整句子搭配引出原因。
4、因为要有主语
1、如果要改的话，我认为可以改成meeting。逗号前是主句，后面是伴随状语还是什么来着，名字我忘了，就是表示主语做主句中的事时的一个状态。至于时态，看主句即可，过去时。
2、exhaust尾气不可数，此句中为复数意义，故不改。
3、与1相反，主句中该什么时态就什么时态，不可与伴随状语混为一谈，flew low 后面两个伴随状语，wings beating....&ears tuned to...
4、去掉即可。

——好吧，上面我说的伴随状语是独立主格结构——名字够难记的，反正就那回事。

2。比的是area吧 E比D复杂

4。原句是独立主格，后半句有没有明显的主语必须有主语才行。

BTW.第二题，个人选的是 as well as E.S.V.M. would do你好你说的是可以的，但是你再看看比较的对象是可比的，我看过一些语法书，
时态不一致，把比较补充完全应该是others combine than ESVM combines, 所以这个选项时态不应是would do，要是as well as ESVM does就对了
