be about to的用法

be about to 这个词组能不能加时间状语？能不能加时间状语从句？另外是不是时间状语从句都要‘主句用一般将来时，从句用一般现在时’？before after也是这样吗？

be about to do:表即将做某事．
e.g The plane is about to take off.
但不能与时间状语连用,不能说
I am about to do my homework tomorrow.
只能和when从句连用
I was about to do my homework when my father came in.
