Study cannot, of course, occupy all your time, but as a student, you should try to get good grades. As a matter of fact, I faced the same situation as you do now last year. My parents told me to spend most of my time on study, but I loved swimming and I go to the stadium twice a week. However, I balanced my time and always did well in the exams. Because of this, they don't push me back to books anymore and encouraged me to do exercised. Therefore, I suggest you to make a clear schedule and attribute your time in a wise way.
