While we were walking down the street with my friend, suddenly, we saw a beggar on the side of the street begging for money. He was no different compares to other beggars, except he was blind.
There was a little bowl in front of him, a bowl with full of money.
While I walked past, I noticed that I have a dollar in my pocket, so I throw it to him when I waked past. My friend yelled to me :" Are you blind, can't you see he got a whole lot of money already. I am more poor than him."
I just stood there. Don't know what to do. Because I can't just walk back and take the money back. My friend helped me instead. He went back to him, not only grabing the one dollar but also with a few notes of 10 and 20 dollars.
I yelled back, " Are you crazy, why would you do that? "
While we were having the fight, we heard the beggar was saying something to us.
He said: " He can take it if he really needs it. This is the love and compassion I recieved from this society. If he needs it, I am happy to share the love."
My friend cried and put down the money back to the bowl silently.
