To learn about how our high school students communicate with each other during the winter holiday, I did a survey with the help of my classmates.
About 25 percent of the students usually use phone or cell phone to communicate. They believe that it is a very convenient and fast way to talk to people. However, another 25 percent prefer to send text messages. It is cheaper than talking through the phone and they can use the text message to express themselves without saying their feelings out loud. Using the Internet, including QQ, MSN and e-mail to communicate is the most popular way the students keep in touch with each other. It is cheap and students can send a lot of information at one time and can leave messages for others. Comparing to using other communication ways, only 5 percent of the students write letters now. Most students think sending letters using the post office is too slow.
In conclusion, the students use many different ways to communicate and in most of these ways, technology plays a large role.
