雅思作文求批改，难道我这篇写跑题了吗、？不解。。。

题目：It has been believed that people reading for pleasure have developed better imagination and language skills than people who prefer to watch TV. Do you agree or disagree?
作文：It is well known that many celebrities in history spoke highly of books,such as Maksim Gorky,saying that books are the ladder of human progress.Television,as a significant invention of 20th century has play an important role in our daily life.There is a public controversy nowadays over the issue that whether reading books in leisure time can cultivate a better sense of imagination and language than watching TV or not.In my opinion,the answer is yes.
Books,as a traditional media of diffusing knowledge,have a good deal of advantages.Above all,books are probably the most accessible and most affordable ,compared with other media. Everyone can take books everywhere as long as he or she want to read.Reading is also a active way of learning,which need high concentrated force and should to ponder over.For instance,when a person read a novel,the scenes mentioned in book are likely to appear in his or her brain.Hence,reading can develop a good imagination undoubtedly.In addition,reading books is benefit for cultivating a ability of languages in that people have time to think deeply when they encounter some nice sentences in order to utilize them.
However ,as an other way of relaxation,watching television is not as good as reading books because it do little help to enhance capacities of imagination or language. Although Watching television is a common recreational mode accepted by most people,it is just a passive way of getting information,so we can hadly have spare time to digest contents.
All in all,these two way of entertainment do have their own advantages,but if we talk about the contributions to developing imagination and language skills,the former will be better.

有点跑题，人家问的是：有人认为读书比看电视更能够使人在想象力和语言能力上得到提高，你同意还是不同意。要回答的话就要从读书怎么提高语言和想象能力，和电视如何限制这个能力来写。

你开头写的东西老外看来会很疑惑，因为他们是开放性思维，不知道你说历史名人说读书有益和想象力及文字能力的关系。而且你第二句说电视是一个重要的发明，这个和看电视与想象力和文字能力也没有什么关系。第一段一般是交代背景，复述观点，并给出自己观点。你做到了后两点，但有一半以上写的都是废话。

第二段，Books,as a traditional media of diffusing knowledge,have a good deal of advantages.Above all,books are probably the most accessible and most affordable ,compared with other media. 而第三段，只是概括的说明看电视没有读书好，因此对想象力和文字能力没有帮助，尽管大家都看电视。没有说明为什么。

所以，说你跑题是有一定道理的，这个题目不能单纯的理解为读书好还是看电视好，而要分析读书看电视与想象力和文字能力的关系。你的总体思路是有的，第二段论述读书的好处，第三段论述电视的坏处。但是没有扣题。

第一段，随着科技的发展，电视越来越普及，有些人认为电视的发展会限制人们的写作能力和想象力。

第二段，按照你的思路应该写读书对写作以及想象力的帮助。比如说在读书时看到的书面语比电视里的口头语更能帮助写作的提高，读书通过文字描述，可以使读者最大限度的发挥想象能力。

第三段，可以写一个让步段，比如说电视的普及会使观众去想如何拍好电影，看完电影后越来越多的人开始写影评。然后一个转折，但是对于大部分人而言，电视还是会限制他们的想象力和写作能力。

第四段，总结，具体就把以上两个观点用不同的表达方式通过一句话复述一遍，然后重申自己的观点。

个人认为说跑题有点严重，论述重点不突出倒是真的。人家问你为了兴趣阅读比看电视更能够发展你的想象力和语言能力，你同意还是不同意，首先你要说你要说agree/disagree，而不是说yes/no。
另外你论证的时候基本就是重复了一下人家的问题，而没有展开。你应该说书没有图像声音，所以对人物啊之类的理解就必须依靠想象，一千个读者心中就有一千个哈姆雷特。而且有很多优美的句子，可以通过反复阅读来加深记忆。另外可以根据自己的喜好和需要购买书籍，什么accessable啊 affordable啊都是浮云。
反过来，电视呢，人物形象，语言都是push给你的，取材一般比较大众化，语言也比较生活化，对于language skills没什么帮助。
