The woman saw a large cat within five yards.或者The woman saw a large cat within five yards of her.(用of 而不是away from)
She lives within five minutes' walk.
The store is within ten metres of the bus stop.
Keep a dictionary within one's reach.
The kid always cried.
The kid was always crying.
4.d. It is...that... Not until the thirteen stroke the bell stopped. The bell did not stop until the thirteen stroke的变体.
5.c. Is't working all right.
The bell was damaged on Sunday. He repaired it the following night.
I'm glad all the same.
You've probably woken up everyone in the village as well, yet I'm glad the bell is working again.
c如果要用的话应该是the public而不是their public。
Two others jumped out.
Their faces were covered with black stockings.
John is in charge of the business. 等于The businee is in the charge of John.
Titanic was driven to NY是可以的。下文的the noise had been so faint是had been 表示过去完成时态,不是被动语态。
14.b.如果ad不要about和for,依然只能选b.
miss表示错过,比如I missed the bus.
on表示在…
19.b.since自从。
21.c.be fond of等于like.
