炎武之学，大抵主于敛华就实。凡国家典制、郡邑掌故、天文仪象、河漕兵农之属，莫不穷原究委，考正得失，撰天下郡国利病书百二十卷；别有肇域志一编，则考索之馀，合图经而成者。精韵学，撰音论三卷，又广交贤豪长者，虚怀商榷，不自满假。
