What do you think about the method that we learn English through English movies
As is known to all,there are in fact various ways of learning English in our real life and they are all effective in some degree.However,I hold the view that for most of us, we can learn English efficiently by watching English movies.The reasons are as follows.(51wds)
On the one hand, movies have their special charm which makes them interesting and thrilling. In a movie,there are large numbers of continuous pictures that can successively show us the plots and details of an unusual story. So we are always attracted by these originally designed pictures.At the same time,the characters in the movie keep on communicating with one another .Therefore,what we hear while watching the movie offers us a chance to learn by hearing and repeating them.What's more,the expressions we picked up by watching movies

On the other hand, even though some scenes and words are just flashing by,we can try to guess the meanings by watching the facial expressions and gestures of the characters in the movies.This,as a matter of fact ,helps improve our understanding and learning of the target language because we can learn it not only by hearing,but also by analysing and imagining.(65wds)

I like the idea to learn English through English movie.
As we know, the English text book is written many years ago, while the language, like any other languages, has varied meaning in different context. So only in practical usage, can we really understand the subtle difference of the language.
Secondly, movie is much more attractive than the normal text book. Even students with limited background can be attracted to try to understand what it mean. It is a best motivation: to pull rather than push.
Last but not the least, as any children learn a new language, he first listen, see, and pratise. It is very natural to start from movie watching - rather than grammer and spelling, to learn any language.
Therefore, I think it is really a good idea to learn English through movies.
