关于非谓语动词的一道题目

You can't take away those magazines_____(belong) to our school library.
这里为什么不能填belongs呢？？those magazines which belongs to our school library.因为which省略，所以belongs...?（个人猜测- -）

前面有take了，一句句子不能有两个谓语，用非谓语，又由于与杂志是主动关系，所以用现在分词。
