2. 对该优先考虑的因素持有不同的意见
3. 我的看法
On Job-hunting Priorities
When a graduate hunts for a job, he has to take the priority issue of a few significant factors into consideration, such as the pay, the specific field, and the location.
Graduates give priority to different elements. Some graduates think the pay should take the first place, since they have been spending the money of the family all the time, and it’s time to do something as the reward to other family members. Besides, a high pay usually means a relatively high position in the company. Some would their major as the No. 1 element, or it would be a big waste of what they have learned in college. Meanwhile, the major chosen for college most of the time reflects their interest and preference. Still others offer the pride of place to the location of the job. They believe big cities like Beijing or Shanghai will provide more opportunities, or a place close to hometown will furnish more convenience between the graduate and his family since most families now have one child only.
As to me ,the ideal is the three elements combined together. But when I have to take a choice, l would pick up the best choice close to my family since “ East, west, home is the best”
1.参加高考的人数有所下降
2.有人认为职业教育更为重要
3.你的看法
Vocational education or college education ?
The number of people who take the college entrance examination has been decreasing these years. Some people consider vocational education an advantage to job-hunting, while others argue that a college diploma is more important.
ln my opinion, college education is more advisable or most people. [4lFirst, college education is systematic and students can learn a lot in many aspects. Unlike vocational, which always focuses on just one job skill, college education enables students to develop different po-tentials.15lSecond, to obtain a higher degree, such as a master’s degree, one has to go through college education to a bachelor’s degree first.
In a society where any job skill may become outdate-ed quickly with the appearance of new technologies, the limitations of vocational education prove even more serious. Only college education can prepare us for future challenges.

(1)大学教育和职业教育
Aducation is not an end, but a means to an end. In other words, we do not educate children only for educating them. Our purpose is to fit them for life.
In some modern countries it has been fashionable to think that free education for all can solve all the problems of society and build a perfect nation. But we can already see that free education for all is not enough. We find in such countries a far larger number of people with university degrees refusing to do what they think is "low"work, and. in fact, working with one's hands is thought to be dirty and shameful in such countries. But we have only to think a moment to understand that the work of a completely uneducated farmer is far more important than that of a professor~ we can live without education, but we die if we have no food. If no one cleaned our streets and took the rubbish away from our houses, we should get terrible diseases in our towns.
In fact, when we say that all of us must be educated to fit us for life, it means that we must be educated in such a way that, firstly, each of us can do whatever work is suited to his brains and ability and, secondly, that we can realize that all jobs are necessary to society, and that it is very bad to be ashamed of one's work. Only such a type of education can be considered valuable to society.
(2)1. 越来越多的人从事志愿者工作
2. 志愿者工作的社会意义
3. 作为大学生,应该怎么做

In recent years, the volunteering spirit has spread among the Chinese people, especially among youngsters. According to a survey, in 2008, there were about 1,700,000 volunteers who offered service for Olympic Games. Actually, an increasing number of people become volunteers every year in China.
Volunteering actions are of tremendous benefits to both those in need and the society. Olympic Games are a good example. As is known to all, volunteers played an active role in Beijing Olympic Games. Without them, it would be a tough task to hold this un-precedent Olympic Games. Therefore, we can say that it was those volunteers who ensured the success of these games.
As modern college students, we should get actively involved in volunteering activities. By participating, we can learn how to work well in a team, how to improve our interpersonal skills and organizational ability. Undoubtedly, all of these are critical for our person growth. So, we should take this chance to learn and to grow.

The volunteering spirit has spread among the Chinese people in recent years, especially among young people. Volunteering is of tremendous benefits to both those in need and society. Take the Wenchuan Earthquake as an example. Hundreds of thousands of volunteers play an active role in Wenchuan quake-hit areas. And they contribute daily necessaries, offer medical help and psychological help to the disaster relief work. Besides, volunteering would be beneficial to the volunteers themselves~ Getting involved in volunteering, volunteers will be exposed to a new environment, and they can learn how to work well in a team, how to improve their interpersonal skills and organizational skills, all of which are critical for their professional growth. As a college student, I sincerely hope that everyone would join the volunteering work. It is not only good to our society, but also a chance for us to grow and to learn.

范文:
Keeping Pets
There is no denying the fact that keeping pets is a hotly debated topic today. Some people claim that keeping pets is a good thing to do. They believe that pets, like cats and dogs, can help relieve the loneliness suffered by senior citizens and other social members who are confined to their homes for this reason or that. They also argue that keeping pets helps mankind understand animals' world and develop positive feelings toward them.
Others, however, hold the opposite view. They regard keeping pets as a useless but harmful thing to do. First, pets can transmit diseases. Secondly, the noises and dung of pets are sources of pollution. Last but not least, as many rare birds and animals are kept as pets, they will surely be hunted on a large scale, which means a threat to the balance of the ecosystem.
Weighing the arguments of both sides, I am inclined to agree with the latter. Anyway, we can lessen our loneliness and express our love toward animals in other ways. And it is my belief that only by placing man and other species on an equal basis can we expect to have a lively and colorful world.

What Electives to Choose
At present, many universities offer a variety of eelective courses and many college students prefer to have electives their spare time
Students choose different types of electives for the following reasons. To start with, many students want to get another degree besides their own,so that they can have more advantages when hunting jobs in the future.Secondly, some students want to learn anything that is different from what they are learning now.The science students, for example, want to know about Shakespeare while the art students want to learn how a vehicle works and how to deal with it when it breaks down.
As for me,I don't care about the degree.I just want to obtain some necessary skills to make my college life worthwhile. What I'm concerned most is how to own mor skills that may be necessary for my future.
