1. other改成others
the others = the other programmes
2. expensive改成high；them改成that
价格（price）用高/低（high/low），不能用贵/贱（expensive/cheap）；
that代指price，为单数，而them未复数，且是特指。
3. swim改成swimming
prefer doing sth to doing sth 宁愿...而不愿...
4. a改成an
American第一个音素是元音，所以不定冠词用an
5. 把often去掉
used to的意思就是“过去常常”，和often重复
6. for改成in
“在...比赛中（竞争）”，介词用in
7. for改成in
join sb in (doing) sth 加入某人一起做某事
8. will改成would/might/should等
in case引导的状语从句一般采用虚拟语气
9. is改成was 或 is on改成caught
此句按照句意应该采用一般过去时
be on fire表示状态，catch fire才表示突然发生的动作
10. pay改成paid
get paid 得到报酬/薪水
11. 第一个too much改成much too或too
too much不能修饰形容词tired，而是一般修饰不可数名词或动词
12. by meters改成by the meter

the other 是形容词，后面要加名词，用one 指代前面的progamme
ison fire 强调状态，而，gets 强调动作
我觉得第二句没错
