23.4 在满足接线方式和短路容量的前提下，应尽量采用简单的母差保护。对有稳定问题要求的大型发电厂和重要变电所可配置两套母差保护，对某些有稳定问题的大型发电厂要缩短母差保护定检时间，母差保护停用时尽量减少母线倒闸操作。
23.5 开关设备的失灵保护均必须投入运行，并要做好相关工作，确保保护正确地动作。
23.6 根据《继电保护和安全自动装置技术规程》（GB 14285—93）的规定，完善主零序电流电压保护，以用于跳开各侧断路器，在事故时能保证部分机组运行。
23.7 应优先采用正常的母线、厂用系统、热力公用系统的运行方式，因故改为非正常运行方式时，应事先制定安全措施，并在工作结束后尽快恢复正常运行方式，应明确负责管理厂用电运行方式的部门。
23.8 厂房内重要辅机（如送风机、引风机、给水泵、循环水泵等）电动机事故按钮要加装保护罩，以防误碰造成停机事故。
