After watching this movie, I am really curious about what happened next for Precious? Did all her children grow up healthily? Did she contact her mother again? These are only some of the questions that I have about her, and I was disappointed that the movie did not answer these questions.

This movie has left me feeling shocked, angry and at the same time touched.

I was angry because I could not understand why an innocent child was treated in such a way? She was not at fault and just a victim, but she had to withstand all these consequences. Her father made her pregnant, and this caused her mother to resent and even abused her.

I think it is really painful to be deprived of love. This environment and the mother's actions and attitude towards had resulted in Precious having low morale, and end up escaping to the world of fantasy to avoid the reality.

In my opinion, everything started because of Precious' father. Only if he did not make his daughter pregnant and loved his wife more, I think that Precious' mother would have treated her this way. She was jealous of her daughter being pregnant with her beloved man's child. She also wanted her husband to spend more time with her and love her more.

Later on, under the patient guidance of the teacher and her classmates' care, Precious slowly changed for the better; she was no longer anti-social and did not feel inferior anymore.

What makes me convulsed and touched is that Precious did not give up on her child. Instead, she choose to love her child. She knew that the way her mother treated her was wrong and should be the way she treated her child.

Although throughout her life, there were many tragic and unfair events (she contracted AIDS), she did not resign to her fate. Staying positive, she shouldered on these happenings while hoping to have a fresh start.

This movie has really inspired me. Precious is such an adamant girl. We should all learn from her.
