there's seemingly no biological benefit to acting with concience. 这里为什么是 to acting ，而不是 to act啊？求解答！！！

1.因为这里是there's no biological benefit to sth. 对……来说，没有利益
用动名词形式来充当名词成分，也就是acting with concience 来充当sth.

这时候的to 是介词，后面加动名词，
比如比较经典的 make a contribution to doing sth./ sth.
还有 look forward to receiving your letter 这里to 也是介词，后面也是doing sth.

2.如果要用to do 形式，应该是it is beneficial to do sth.
it is beneficial for sb. to do sth.

而不是你所认为的和后面的动词原型构成不定式。
