现实中,人可能会因为各种各样的原因遭受不幸,比如婚姻失败、丧失伴侣、失去亲人、疾病或是处于贫困。这些都可能成为人生当中的苦难。这个时候即使我们不能切实为他们做些什么,那么同情心和怜悯之心也是不该缺失的。但总会有人,不仅没有同情心,而且还要指责在苦难中的人之所以受苦是招致的所谓报应,是污秽的人。这种情形我是亲眼所见,感受颇深。不幸的人不仅得不到同情,反而有人不再跟他说话,像躲瘟疫一样,离的远远的。而任何欢庆的场面,也都避免这样的人出现,甚至有些人到了有他没我的地步,他们忌讳和这样的人同席,那样会让他们觉得自己受到了莫大的侮辱。
  究其原因,一个与人的愚昧有关,当今时代,特别是农村,这样的无端歧视也屡见不鲜。二是与观念有关。人们相信绝对的因果报应,简单的把受苦难和“罪”联系在一起。他们认为不幸之所以降临到一个人头上是因为这个人有“罪”。这个“罪”即使不是他自己的,也可能是他上辈人传给他的,总之,不是无缘无故的。而且这种“罪”是会传染给别人的,让人避之不急。这时,在身处不幸与苦难中的人里,有些人也会认为有罪自己才会受今天的苦,从而变的自卑孤僻,小心翼翼,避免去人多的地方,走路都抬不起头,害怕与别人的目光接触,甚至有些人从此一蹶不振,失去生活的勇气。
  同样,在《约伯记》中,约伯的三个朋友虽然也对他表现过同情心,但他们始终认为约伯之所遭受苦难与不幸是因为他有罪,应当悔改,才可能使自己从罪中脱离,重新获得神的保守。然而,约伯对此并不退缩或妥协,而是和朋友辩论,坚持自己的无辜。当然,约伯是个十足的义人,我无法比较或类推苦难或不幸的人都和他一样。但从《约伯记》中,至少让我明白苦难与罪并不能如此简单的联系在一起,按照犯罪比例作惩罚。
