能否写成这样？请指导

不行吧，从句中相当于有一个主语加了两个谓语动词，且没有连接词，come和vist。
The letter said that they would visit us from the United States next week.

没有去掉are,只是be动词要放在will后面，还要用原形，所以变成了will be
