besides和except和except for有什么区别？
except 和 except for都有“除...以外，把...排除在外”的意思，而 besides 的意思是“除...之外还有”。except for一般用于名词前，except一般用于介词和连词前。
except通常用于名词短语之前
All the boys except Peter started to giggle。
除了Peter，其他男孩都在笑。
except可以用在人称代词宾格如“me，him or her”或反身代词如“himself or herself”之前。
There's nobody that I really trust, except him.
除了他，其他人我都不相信。
He had allowed no one inside the room except himself.
注意，except不能用于人称代词主格之前
例如，不能说“There's no one here except I”
except用于介词和连词之前
He's good-looking except when he smiles.
只要他不笑，就很好看。
This room is no use except as a storeroom.
这个房间只能作为储藏室来用了。
except for一般用于名词之前
The classroom was silent, except for the busy scratching of pens on paper.
教室很安静，除了有笔在纸上写字的沙沙声。
Everyone was invited except for me.

besides作为介词，表示除...之外还有

注意，如果表示谈论的是唯一的人或事，besides此时也表示“除...以外”的意思

除我以外，没人在这儿。（我是唯一个在这里的人）
作为副词，可以表示而且，有再说的意思
I'm not ready to get married yet. Besides, I enjoy living alone.
我还没做好结婚的准备。况且，我喜欢独居。
表达意思不同
besides 作介词表示除…之外（还）：

except（也可以用except for）指仅有某事物不包括在内：
I like all sports except football.
除足球外我喜欢所有的运动。
I had nothing on except for my socks.
