这里用to...是因为要和前面的to do anything对应，也就是说是省略了一个want， 应该是want to sleep
关于第二个to要不要省略的问题，我觉得可以省略。下面的句子都是我从初中教材（有几句是高中教材的）等很可靠的地方找来的，都有有关省不省略的，当然不只是to了，还有其他词；
其中有的句子省略了一些重复的地方，有的没省，说明省不省都可以。除非有一些特殊情况。这个我还在研究中。

except后跟名词、代词、动词原形和不定式，不跟动名词。:I have no choice except to see a doctor. 除了看医生我别无选择。She doesn't want to do anything except to sleep句子后一个to不要，因为前面如果是do ， except后面的to必须省略。
