B. The fa0/1 network on router R2 overlaps with the LAN attached to R1.：
r1接口的f0/1：10.1.32.45/20 它所包含的地址是10.1.32.1---10.1.47.254。而r2的f0/1地址就包含在其中。
E. Host 2 on router R2 is on a different subnet than its gateway.
r2的f0/1在10.1.32.0/20这个网段中，10.1.40.96/22在网段10.1.40.0/22这个网段中！

2.
B和C。
/20的前缀长度，掩码是255.255.240.0。第三个8位组块大小为16，所以从第三个8位组的值来看，一边是45，一边是40。都是32.0/20这个子网中的地址，可见地址重叠了。B是正确的。
R2的子网是/20的，而主机2的掩码是/22的，掩码不匹配。所以C是正确的。

所以想请教正确答案为何??谢谢各位

答案是BC

E：host2与他的网关处于不同子网，这个说法本身不错，但host2与他的网关处于不同子网的原因还是C：子网掩码配置不正确。
但是这里C选项更接近题意。
