This is a very interesting topic indeed. Well, if you are old, the first thing that should to your mind must be taking a holiday to places where you used to dream and couldn't afford them. Then enjoyed more the rest of your life but don't forget to help your young too.
And what about if your are young, very young, then you should think about how to invest the money because these days money don't keep their value for long. The inflation can eat into them very quickly. If you have one million dollars now and leave them where they were, and would still have one million dollars when you are 65. By then you might only be able to buy a second car with them! So, you must make the money work harder to keep their value.
And the other thing is if you are young and have this windfall, you mustn't let them cloud your mind. You should stick to your original goal. Because there are far more important things for you to gain than just money. you must not lose you sight and focus on the bigger picture. Learning is your priority in your young life. Only with good education and learned well can enjoy a fuller life, others (like money) are just gimmicks.
