随着我国经济的发展和社会的进步，具有高技能的技术型人才的需求量越来越大，高技能技术型人才已然成了稀缺资源。职业院校正肩负着培养高技能技术型人才的重任。然而目前职业院校的师资力量和技术水平还相对落后，很多职业院校在教务管理上使用了先进的管理系统和软件，但在车间实习过程中使用专门系统和软件的还很少，并且系统的功能也不齐全。因此，在这种情况下，设计一个专门针对职业院校学生车间实习的管理系统就显得十分必要了。
本课题通过对高等职业院校学生在车间实习现状的研究与分析，运用先进的网络开发平台和数据库技术，构建出一个基于ASP.NET的实习车间管理平台，以满足高等职业院校实习车间管理过程中对于信息资源采集、存储、处理、组织、管理和利用的需求，实现信息资源的高度集成和共享，为学校各级管理部门提供准确、及时的数据信息支持，旨在达到完善实习车间管理，提高实习教学质量，提高学生技能水平的目标。本课题通过研究高等职业院校学生在车间实习的现状，采用当今流行的B/S(Browser/Server,浏览器/服务器)的三层结构软件架构体系，以基于C#的ASP.NET为开发应用程序的环境，以SQL Server 2005为后台数据库，借助UML建模方法进行了功能分析与建模，构建适用于高等职业院校学生车间实习的综合管理系统。
实践表明，系统运行良好，各模块之间配置合理，易于操作，满足管理人员对系统的各种需求。采用B/S结构体系，面向Intranet/Internet，方便信息交流。顺应了新时代高等职业院校实习车间管理向信息化、数字化发展的潮流，极大地提高实习车间管理工作效率和质量。随着WWW服务器开发技术的不断成熟，还可以进一步增强系统的性能，不断提高实习车间管理自动化程度，以达到无纸办公、远程管理等一系列功能。
