This summer holiday, our students lived as usual a colorful life and they even have written down what impressed them most. Here, we chose some pages from their diaries and also hope our students can keep the diary and share with us their colorful life.
What Can We Write in a Diary?
By Mary (马煜曦)
Every time I write a diary, I don’t know what to write . To me, every day is the same.
I just do the routine study: get up early in the morning, eat my breakfast, go to school, go home after class , eat my dinner and go to sleep after I finish my homework, and then the next day I will do the same. But now I learn to look at things from a different angle. I start to observe what is happening around me every day; even it is a little incident. When I see something interesting, I will keep it in mind and write it down. So ,you see, if I use my eyes and head more, I will know what to write in my diary.
What a day!

So hot ! Yesterday, I went back home, with my very big bag. We will have a two-day rest. But we have a lot of homework.
As the weather was so hot, therefore, I decided to go swimming. When my father and I arrived at Beilun Swimming Pool, I couldn’t believe my eyes—There were many cars parking outside the swimming place, and a lot of people waiting in the Hall. What has happened, I wondered. Oh, they were just waiting for their children who were learning swimming in the pool. After I wore my swimming suit, I jumped into the water quickly. How cool! I found my father and he told me my friend Tang were learning swimming in here. So I swam up to her and talked with her. She said she was preparing for the next year’s P.E. test. ‘Besides,’ she said, ‘my P.E. teacher is teaching us. ‘ ‘What? ! P. E. teacher?! Can it be that ….’ Speaking of Cao Cao, Cao Cao comes. I saw the man who used to be my P.E. teacher swimming towards us. Hurriedly I dived my head under the water , and ‘ran’ away.
The Impressive thing on me in Germany
By Ishara (顾佳惠)
I arrived in Germany two days ago. And the beautiful landscape in Germany reminded me of my childhood. One of my most enjoyable memories as a child was walking by the river and sitting on the bank. There I would enjoy the quietness and peace, watch the water rushing downstream and listen to the chirps of birds rustling of leaves in the trees. But now I have no time to stand and stare.
The German students kept asking as whether we had hard schoolwork or not. They wondered how long we studied one day and were surprised when they heard the answer. Our lives were a little boring in their eyes.
Then I realized a disappointing but true thing, we are regarded as students but not teenagers in China. We are dealing with our life instead of enjoying it.
New Class, New Teacher!
By Vivian (陈琳)
Today I went back to school to study. It’s the first day when I study in Class One. I am determined I will study harder than before.
Our headteacher, Mr Wang, is very strict with us. If some students laugh in class, he will be very angry. If we don’t sit as he has said, he will be unhappy as well. However, he is really humorous, and his class is entirely different from other teachers’.
Since I’m new in this class, thus I don’t know many classmates, but I think in some days I will get on well with them and make friends with them, including my headteacher, Mr Wang.
Oh, My Eyes!
BY Kevin (方涵彦)
Today I got up a little late and when I looked out, it was dark outside. The sky was covered by the black clouds and it was raining cats and dogs. After brushing my teeth and washing my face, I looked for my glasses, but, I couldn’t find them. I remembered I had left them on my desk. But now they were gone! Funnily, when I was looking for my glasses, I found something brown outside the window. I thought it was a bird or something. When I got closer, I was sure it was a butterfly. But after I found my glasses and put them on, I found it was neither a bird nor a bird. It was just a leaf fallen from a tree.
Oh, my poor eyes!
