Colors are sometimes divided into hot colors, cold colors and neutral colors. Red and orange are hot colors because they make a room seem warm. They also make walls seem nearer to us than they really are. Blue and green are cold colors. They can give us a different feeling--the room seems cool and the walls seem to be father away. A neutral color is the one that does not obviously affect our feelings. Brown and gray are both neutral colors.
