Along with the development of the science, it provides the more and more solutions to the problems which have been bothering the people for a long time. However, there still exists some "scientific code" that are can't be broken in by the scientists in nowadays. For instances, what forms the universe; what and where is the source of the lives; is there any other planets which are suitable for the human beings to live in the universe... There are only assumptions, based on some incomplete data and phenomena, to those questions thus far.
In order to actively response the festival of science and learn the scientific knowledge and raise and scientific attainments by means of the activities held by the school, our class starts an English research study with theme of science. Although the knowledge and understandings we have in the field of science is relatively shallow, we still have the passion to participate into this activity.
All the students in the class will be grouped as units and choose the aspects which are interesting to the specific groups to research and study. The followings are the options: the formation of the Earth, the source of the human beings, the evolution of the creatures, the changes of the global environment and so on. After asserting the theme, we can acquire the data and information via researching the relative books, searching on the internet, inquiring the instructors and any other methods. The next sections are going to be the group discussion, filtering the information, summary, and eventually the presentation of the research result in form of short essays. After the weeks of efforts, the research study is finally finished.
The followings are the short essays for the research from all the groups. It is inevitably that there will be some mistakes and defects since this is our first attempt. Hopefully the teachers can point out them in the process of evaluation.

With the development of science, more and more long-term difficult problems have been solved. But there still are a lot of "science code" quite hard to decode. For example, What is the universe made of; How and where does life begin. is there another panet suitable for mankind apart from the earth in the universe.....we can just make some suppositions according to some data and phenomenons.
In order to respond to the school science festival, learn science and improve our scientific literacy with the help of this festival, our class organize an english Inquiry Learning on science. Even if our cognition and understanding in this area are still a litter simple, we still take an active part in this activity.
we carry on a research on our chosen interested respects as a group.All the subjects chosen are including : forming of the earth, origin of life, evolution of creatures, chages of world environment and so on. After choosing a subject, we collect references from reading books , searching the internet and asking teachers. Then, to select some useful information, we have a dicussion in our group. at last our study results are reflected in the form of a thesis. after all these week's efforts, the Inquiry Learning is finally completed.
