I was really exited when I opened the letter, which was from my friend Lin. She went to America last year with her family and now is studying there. We used to sit next to each other. We were not just class mates but we were very good friends too. She used to live near to my home, we often visit each other, sometimes she comes to my house and sometimes I go to hers. From time to time, we also went shopping together to our local mall. How I missed her since she left.
She told me in the letter that she also missed me madly as well, and it took her quite a while to settle in and got used to the new life over the other side of the Pacific Ocean. But now she is gradually feeling more relax about her new life style and making new friends there with both Chinese and Americans. She asked about how our school was lately and also asked about few of her other old school friends too. I shall write back to her in the weekend and tell her that I would like to keep in touch and learn more about America from her.

I am a staff in a factory, so I have less time for studing during the day. I spend more time in study in the evening. From Monday to Friday evening, I go to a library after dinner. There are numerous books in the library. I always can find the useful book I need. And It is always very quiet, so I can study with eager attention.
I set aside a certain time for study on the weekend, too. On Sunday afternoon, I stay in my dormitory and study the university courses. I read books, listen to the tape and make notes while I am reading. I believe that additional educational activities enjoy obvious advantage. By studies, I maintain, I am able to obtain many kinds of practical skills and useful knowledge, which will put me in a beneficial position in the future job markets.
