大多数同学的看法:1，看国外新闻，获取信息，发e-mail，打电话。2，上网络学校，阅读各种书籍，自学英语。3，欣赏音乐，观看体育比赛，玩棋牌等游戏，丰富我们的生活。4，提高我们操作电脑的能力。
少数同学：多数人上网是玩游戏、聊天而不是学习；个别同学因上网而荒废了学业

Recently our class had a heated discussion on whether middle school student should surf the internet.Opinions are divided on this topic:
The majority of students are in favor of the idea of surfing the internet. They believe it convenient to communicate with others on it and they can use their time as they wish. what's more, by surfing the internet, students can acquire the latest news from home as well as abroad. besides, their spare time activities can be widely enriched.
However, a few students are against such things. in their opinion, rather than trying to learn knowledge, most of the internet goers are playing computer games on it, which is a waste of time and money. some students they even drop off from classes to go to internet bars. So they argue that the time spent on the internet should be strictly limited.
As far as I’m concerned, It is important for us either limit our use of the Internet, or to learn how to handle the problems it has caused.
