请分析这句简单句子中的语法成份

中的off the plane是什么成份？

可在我这个问题中有朋友说off the plane是个介词短语，我真有点晕了。
PS：off究竟是跟took的还是跟the plane的。我在知道上看了相关的资料，觉得off the plane应该作定语，可省略的，但如果是定语应该修辞的是two men，那应该放在前面啊。哪位老师指点下。
