英语的肯定句变为否定句的方法：

1、如果句子中存在be动词（am/is/are/was/were），变为否定句只需要在be动词后+not。

例如：

He was playing the piano at that time.（他那时在弹钢琴。）

He wasn't playing the piano at that time.（他那时不在弹钢琴。）

2、如果句子中存在情态动词will/would，may/might，shall/should，can/could，need，ought以及had better，在这些后+not。

例如：

You had better get up early.（你最好早点起床。）

You had better not get up early.（你最好不要早点起床。）

注意：ought to应该…在肯定句中“to”不得省略，在疑问句或否定句中省略。

3、如果句子中仅有实义动词，则需要添加助动词，在助动词后+not。
