Water is a very important element for survival, without water there can be no animals and plants. You can found water almost everywhere in world, even the most dry parts have of some water in the air. In order for people, animals and plants to survive we need water. Besides, life started from the water(sea) too.
The presence of water is in the form of may be a liquid, gas or solid. When they are solid ice, then would be as hard as a brick. When they are in liquid form, they can be pour into the containers. Gas form can not be seen nor felt, but they exist in the air.
There is over 70% of the Earth's surface is covered with water, every place in the world has the presence of water.
