so.+adj/adv..that 引导结果状语从句。太... ...（怎么样）以致于... ...
例句：He runs so fast that we can't catch up with him.他跑太快了，以至我们追不上他。
so that 引导目的状语从句。以达到... ...的目的。
例句：He runs very fast so that we can't catch up with him.他快很快，以使我们不能追上。
in order to 为了。后边接名词性结构。也有in order that+从句 用法，和so that类似。
例句：He runs very fast in order to catch the bus.他跑很快，为了能赶上公车。
too..+adj/adv .to...太... ...以至于（不能）... ...（有时候=not .反义的adj/adv.. enough to）
例句：He is too fat to put on this coat.=He isn't thin enough to put on this coat.他太胖了以至不能穿上这外套。
