A meaningful lecture
On March 21,2012,Wylita L.Bell, an information officer from the U.S.Consulate General in Shanghai(美国驻沪总领事馆),was invited by the Shanghai Students’ Post. She came to visit Shanghai East High School(SEHS) and gave us a lecture.
Ms.Bell was attracted by our beautiful campus. She gave us many English magazines and original books as gifts. The lecture was held in the hall. At first, Mr.Lu, the vice principal of SEHS gave a speech to welcome Ms.Bell’s arrival. Then Ms,Bell made a speech---What makes America “America”. She used five words to describe America: diversity（多样性）,opportunity, justice（公正）, independence and generosity（慷慨）.
Ms.Bell was very humorous and energetic. We listened to the lecture very attentively(聚精会神地). In the interactive link(互动环节), the student’s active behavior and fluent English left her with a deep impression.
Although the lecture lasted only an hour, it really gave us a good opportunity to practice spoken English and know more about the foreign culture. We all look forward to having this kind of opportunity again.

一次有意义的讲演
