I arrived just the as the final tourists were loading on to a bus.I enterd the gate of this less-visited site,again encompassed in the my stery of solitude,giving thanks for the gift of being alone in such a saced site .As I walked down the path I looked skyward and was greeted by a large flock of migrating storks who had stopped their migration to circle overhead,For a moment as I gazed upward ,time was transcended. I was now standing in the field on the night of the birth of the Christ and angels were flying overhead proclaiming the Good News.
It came upon the midnight clear
That glorious song of old
From angels bending near the earth
To touch their harps of gold
"Peace on the earth, goodwill to men
From heaven's all gracious King"
