Mr Hill arrived at London Airport at the end of a three-week holiday in France .Usually he wearsa beard(胡须). Since it was hot there ,he shaved off(刮掉) his beard.But passport showed him with his beard.
An officer looed at the photo for a moment and said ,”Will you excuse me? Please sit down .I can’t keep you long .” With this ,he walked away , showed the photo to a second officer ,and said “I know that face .” The second officer looked at the passort and asked where Mr Hill had come from.When he heared that Mr Hill had just arrived back from Pairs ,the second officer smiled and said ,”An Englishman with a beard stole a painting in Pairs on Friday.and that man looks just the kind of man……..”
Suddenly ,it came to (回忆起) the first officer who Mr Hill is. He returned to him ,and asked,”Did you teach at No. 2High School?”When Mr Hill answered ,in surprise, that he taught there ,the first officer smiled and said ,”I thought so .I am Jack Simth.You taught me French.You haven’t changed a bit.”
