One possible version: My Opinion about the 1990s Generation The passage shows that the 1990s generation is generally thought to care only about themselves, show no respect for teachers and lack responsibility. Meanwhile they focus too much on materials and are spoiled too. As a member of the 1990s generation, I don’t agree with that. Personally, I think that people’s concerns about us are unnecessary. Although we are less perfect in a way, we take everything seriously and have a clear goal to set. Besides, we never forget to express our gratitude to those who help us. Perhaps we now behave a little selfishly, but the 1980s generation, who now proves to be patriotic and responsible, was once criticized for the similar reason. Take my own experience for example. I used to complain about the way my junior high school teacher taught me. She asked me to recite the texts and punished me if I couldn’t. When I later found myself make progress in English learning, I made an apology to her in a letter. Until now, I still go to visit her and thank her on Teacher’s Day.
