人民币汇率变动对我国对外贸易的发展具有重要的影响。改革开放以来人民币汇率经历了两个截然不同的阶段。1994人民币汇制改革前，人民币处于一种持续贬值状态，1994年人民币汇制改革后，人民币出现了趋势性升值的特征。1994年之后人民币在不断升值，我国的贸易收支并没有随着人民币升值而恶化，相反还出现了我国贸易收支顺差不断扩大的局面，民币汇率变动要与我国的贸易结构的优化程度相符合，也就是说，人民币汇率的变动要与我国经济发展相适应，要与我国的经济增长互相印证。

The variation of RMB exchange rate exerts a vital influence on China's foreign trade. RMB change rate has gone through two entirely different periods since the reform and opening up policy. It kept devaluing before the reform of exchange system in 1994, on the contrary, it trended to upvalue after the reform. China's trade income and expense didn't exacerbate along with the lasting RMB upvaluation since 1994. However, China's trade surplus extended. RMB exchange rate should be in accord with the optimization of our trade structure,i.e. it should correspond with China's economic increase and development.

The fluctuation in RMB exchange rate has a very important influence on trade development of our country. RMB exchange rate has gone through two distinct periods since our reform. Before 1994 when RMB exchange rate system had not reformed, RMB had been in a state of depreciation, and after that it featured obviously appreciated trend. RMB were always rising after the year 1994. The balance of trade in our country did not drop into a bad turn with RMB appreciated. On the contrary, surplus in the balance of trade has emerged and continued to expand. The fluctation in RMB exchange rate should fits nicely with optimization of trade structure, namely, the fluctation should adapt to our country development and agree in our country economic growth.
