Why do students learn English
Although English plays an important part in modern society,many people still think it takes the students in China too much time to learn it. In their opinion,since not all the students will do jobs that are related to English,why are we all learning English? It's nothing but a waste of time.
But I think it's necessary for us to learn English. First,it's a period for students to find out what they are good at and what they are interested in.And English itself is an important area they should know about,not to mention it's also a necessary way leading to other areas,that is, we have to ues it whatever we study.
Secondly,maybe it's not useful to everyone in the future. But if we learn some English today,it will be possible and easier for us to go on to learn it in the future if we have to use it one day.
Finally,learning English is also a good way to practise our learning ability. It's helpful for us to learn other things.
So, Why do students learn English? In a word,because It's necessary,it's useful and it's helpful!
